Minted Blackberry Smoothie with Kiwi: The Ultimate Hydration Drink

5 stars from 1 rating of Blackberry Kiwi Smoothie

This recipe is a comes from the documentary, Fat Sick and Nearly Dead by Joe Cross in which Joe goes through a 60-day juice reboot that revolutionizes his health and his life. Although I'm not in any need of a immune system reboot or weight loss program, I find that this great tasting smoothie makes for a fantastic way to re-hydrate after exercise with coconut water for hydration, bananas for potassium, and a drink that, overall, is anti-inflammatory. Best of all, it can be made in your ordinary kitchen blender, and doesn't need a special juicer or high powered blender.

I love the photo. It looks super tasty. I really like the idea of using coconut water in smoothies for hydration. Before hot yoga, I usually drink a zinco, but would prefer a homemade smoothie.

Thanks, Paul. The photo was taken with Instagram which I find very useful for food photography. The filters that it offers make the photo look more original and authentic than a regular snapshot. As you know photographing food is incredibly difficult, and I don't have an SLR camera...just an iPhone.
